Tips for safe passwords:

    Do not reuse passwords between different apps and services.
  • 2.
    The best way to make a better password is by making it longer:
    A couple of random words are easier to remember for humans and harder to guess for hackers. For example, "correct horse staple battery" is a much better password than "Tr0ubador&3". See this infographic for a nerdy explanation.
  • 3.
    Use a password manager to generate unique passwords for each service. They'll save you the trouble of having to remember them all, they'll help you fill in login dialogs, and more. Apple devices come with a good one out of the box.
